Аннотация
We propose a device, allowing to measure rotation speed of rolls in a rolling mill using magnetic markers. It includes an accessory, which marks the rolls magnetically, and a magnetic field sensor (Hall probe). Modeling helped us to find the minimum number of markers, their geometry and placement for ob- taining the sinusoidal signal from the sensor. Device was successfully tested in production conditions.
