Phenomenological Mechanism of Cavitation in Glass Drilling

Rezumat

This paper considers the identification of a mechanism of electropulse machining of nonconductors in an electrolyte medium. It is shown that the main operating factor of failure of dielectric materials is a cavitation blow localized in the near-cathode space. A cavitation mechanism of the failure dielectrics, proposed and described in the given work, is the closest to mode of processing realized in practice.
