Аннотация
The subject of present study was the reduction of KMnO4 in aqueous solutions under the action of glow discharge of atmospheric pressure. The influence of the discharge current and the initial solution pH on the reduction process rate was investigated. The course of post-effect was studied at various conditions of discharge treatment. The post-effect was shown to be due to the accumulating of hydrogen peroxide and ni- trogen acid in the solution, while the later acts as the inhibitor of the reduction.
