The compositions of polyethylene and montmoril-lonite are investigated. The changes of electret, electrical and rheological properties of the polymer with the introduction of nanosized montmorillonite into it is shown. It was found that an increase in electret properties of polyethylene with the addition of 2 or 4 vol.% of filler results from the appearance of new types of high-energy traps at a polymer-filler interphase boundary.
