Investigation of the Formation of Space Charge in Magnetic Colloids in Dielectric Liquids

The relaxation time of the space charge in the near-electrode region in magnetic colloids based on dielectric liquids are experimentally determined by electro-optical methods. The relaxation time is in the range of 0.05–0.3 seconds depending on the conductivity of the sample. The obtained results agree with the data of the electro-surface effect in magnetic colloids.
