A simplified computer model of the positive corona discharge is presented. Unipolar approximation is used. A constraint on the ions flux variation rate is used as a boundary condition on a high voltage electrode. The results of simulation for the point-torus electrodes system are compared with those of the ionic wind experimental investigation by the PIV-method as well as with those of a more complete drift-diffusion approximation. The considered unipolar model was found to be in a good correspondence with the experimental data and the drift-diffusion model in the entire the air volume except a narrow zone near the point tip and that in a vicinity of the symmetry axis.
