We investigated plating of chromium from standard chromic electrolyte at direct current (0,5–6,25 A/cm2) and volume temperature 2570С. We determined that at plating of chromium from standard chromic electrolyte in the field of high current densities the surface temperature grows in compari- son with volume one. We demonstrate that in the field of high current densities the change of dependence of current efficiency on current density is caused by surface heating. It may lead to increase of chromium plating uniformity at use of plating conditions, at which falling dependence of current efficiency on current density is observed.
