- Use a text editor Microsoft Word, /Open Libre Office, or any other text editor working with the format of *.doc, *.docx or *.rtf.
- For the file names, use Latin letters without spaces. It is not recommended to use too long names for files.
- After the article is accepted for publication, the authors cannot make significant changes and additions. Corrections, additions, etc. made without informing the editors will not be taken into account.
- The text of the paper should include the following components:
- 4.1. Title of the paper;
- 4.2. Authors’ names;
- 4.3. Affiliation of each author;
- 4.4. E-mail of the corresponding author;
- 4.5. An abstract (200 words);
- 4.6. Keywords (5 – 10 words / word-combinations;
- 4.7. The body of the paper with subtitles;
- 4.8. Cited literature (References).
- 4.9. Summary - Abstract translated into English.
- Use Times New Roman for the body of the text; Gothic Symbol - for Greek letters; MathematicalPi2 – for handwritten and Gothic symbols; Equation Editor / MathType (for MS Word) or Math (for OpenOffice) – for formulas and standard applications.
- It is recommended to use physical units and designations adopted in the International System of Units SI (GOST 9867-61) in this field of science, as well as the relative atomic masses of elements on the 12C scale. When naming chemical compounds, it is advisable to use IUPAC terminology.
- Manuscripts must be sent to the editorial office of the journal EOM/EPM by e-mail. The electronic version of the manuscript should include files containing all the elements of the article: text (I), tables (II), illustrations (III) in doc, docx or RTF, RAR, ZIP formats..
II. Rеcоmmеndаtions for Text Typesetting
- It is not recommended to use more than one space; you should use auto-indentation and tabulation.
- Do not end the line by pressing the key “Enter” – use it only when you want to begin a new paragraph.
- It is not recommended to type the Cyrillic alphabet with similar Latin letters and vice versa. The Russian letter "ё" should be everywhere replaced by "e", except for surnames and special cases.
- Mixed use of Russian and Latin indices should be avoided. Indexes are subject to decoding in the text.
- Standard font sizes for the whole paper are (line spaces - 1 and 2 cm margins top, bottom left and right): the title of the paper – 18; authors' names – 12; affiliations - 10, e-mail – 10; body of the paper – 11, abstract, keywords and references – 10, figure captions - 9..

REFERENCESII.2. Recommendations for Abstract Writing
- Sentences in the Abstract should be short and informative. The abstract should be in one paragraph. The maximum number of words is 200.
- An abstract has the following scope:
- makes it possible to understand the main content of a scientific article, to determine its relevance and to decide whether to refer to the full text of the article;
- can be used in information systems, including automated systems for information retrieval.
- An Abstract should contain:
- characteristics of the main subject-matter;
- the objectives of the study and how the study was carried out;
- the main results obtained and their significance.
II.3. Recommendations for the List of Keywords
Keywords are 5-10 words /word-combinations (depending on the text volume) separated by commas, without a period at the end.
Keywords may be words and phrases from:
- Title;
- Abstract;
- Introduction and Conclusions.
Instead of factors determining quality, it is better to use the words factors of quality, or definition of quality.
II.4. Recommendations for Typesetting Formulas
- Formulas, chemical structural formulas, and diagrams should be placed in the text where appropriate.
- Symbols *, ‘, ±, single Greek letters, single italic or boldface characters, single variables or variables with either superscript or subscript letters, unites of measure, numbers, and simple mathematical or chemical formulas (e.g., a2+ b2= c2; H2SO4) should be typeset as text using formula editors.
- Use Equation, MathType tools to typeset other formulas.
- Mathematical formulas created using MathType should be in one frame. Do not compose a single formula of several MathType objects or a MathType object and text, table, or embedded frame.
- For MathType formulas, standard font settings should be used. Do not change these settings for any element of a formula.
- For formulas typed in MathType, the general settings for fonts, character sizes and their placement should be used. Their forced manual change for individual symbols or elements of formulas is not allowedется!
II.5. Abridgments and Abbreviations
- Usage of too many abridgments should be avoided. All abbreviations in the text should be entered at the first mention of the term in the text, with the exception of a small number of commonly used ones.
- Abridgements made of several words are separated with spaces (760 m. t., r. c., “p. a.”, r. f.), with the exception of the most commonly used: etc.; e.g.; i.e.
- Dimensions are separated from a number by a space (100 kPa, 77 K, 10.34(2) A), except for the symbols of percent and pro mil: 50%, 10‰. Fractional dimensions must be: 58 J/mole, 50 m/s2.
- For complex dimensions, it is permitted to use both negative powers (J mole–1 K–1) and brackets {J/(mole K) or J(mole K)–1} if this makes it easier to read them. The main condition is to use uniform spelling of the same dimensions.
- When enumerating and using numeric intervals, a dimension is given only for the last number (18– 20 J/mole), with the exception of angular degrees.
- Centigrade degrees are given as 5 °C, not as 5°; Kelvin degrees as 345 K. Angular degrees are never omitted: 5°–10°, but not 5–10°.
- Dimensions of variables are written with a comma (E, kJ/mole); those of sub-logarithmic values are given in square brackets without a comma: ln t [min].
- A period is not put after: the title of the article, the list of authors, the list of addresses, keywords, headings and subheadings, Table titles.
- A period is placed after: footnotes (including in Tables), notes to a Table, captions to Figures.
- A period after abbreviations is not put in subscripts (mp - melting point).
- References to Figures and Tables are typed with spaces (Fig. 1, Table 2). Quotes and brackets are not separated by spaces from the words enclosed in them: (at 300 K), (a).
- A space is placed between the number or the paragraph sign and the number (No. 1; § 5.65).
- Numbers with letters in designations are typed without spaces (IVd; 1.3.14a; Fig. 1a).
II.8. Typesetting of References
The list of References should include only the works cited in the text and that have been published, such as peer-reviewed scientific literature, scientific articles, monographs, published conference proceedings; patents, etc., included in one of the leading citation indices (SCOPUS, WOS, RSCI, etc.).
It is recommended to avoid references to such sources as: educational, teaching aids, dissertation abstracts, unpublished works, non-peer-reviewed literature, and minimize references to regulatory documents, statistical collections, and archived materials.
It is recommended to predominantly use up-to-date sources, no older than 5 years, in order to minimize citing outdated information.
Self-citation is acceptable if the publication is a continuation of the authors' investigations.
All references are numbered and should be in the original language, except for titles in Japanese, Chinese and other languages that use non-Latin script, which should be written in Latin transliteration.
References in the text should be given as "serial numbers" in a strict logical order.
Citations in the text should be identified by Arabic numerals in square brackets.
Citation of two or more works under the same number, or of the same work under different numbers, is not allowed.
The list of the cited literature is given at the end of the manuscript under the heading "REFERENCES":
The REFERENCES list should contain the cited literature, numbered in the order of its mentioning in the text.
- Journal articles are presented in the following way:
- Names of first four authors (if more, add “et al.”), Title of the paper, Journal, year, volume (issue), the first page of the paper, DOI (if any). For example:

- Books are presented in the following way:
- Names of all authors, Title of the book. City: Publishing House, year.
- If a reference is made to certain pages, then after the year of publication, the numbers of those pages should be indicated
- Book chapter/section is presented in the following way:
- Name of all Authors of the chapter, Title of the chapter, Title of the book, Name(s) of the editor(s), City: Publisher, year of publication, pages of the chapter.
- Articles in Collections of papers, meeting abstracts/conference proceedings are presented in the following way:
- Name(s) of the article author(s)/report(s) presenter(s), title of the work/presentation, Title of the collection of papers/ conference, City/ location of a meeting (for conferences), publisher, year, volume (if any), issue (if any), pages. DOI (if any).
- Patents, Authorship Certificates are presented as in the examples below:

III. Recommendations for Preparing Illustrations
III.1. Recommendations for Preparing Drawings
The concept of "drawing" here has a fairly wide range of meanings. So, drawings include graphs and diagrams, blueprints, charts, photographic materials, etc.
Any illustrative material (diagrams, drawings, graphs, figures, photographs) is placed after mentioning it in the text.
It is worth noting that it is not recommended to end a chapter, section, subsection with any illustrative material without its further analysis and explanations.
- Captions explaining the content of Figures are required. They are typed in Times New Roman 9 and centered. In the text, each Figure must be referenced (Fig. 1). If there is only one Figure in the text, then a serial number is not assigned to it.
- Figures are numbered with Arabic numerals, and the numbering is continuous. A Figure caption is placed just below it, centered. The word “Figure” is abridged as “Fig.”
- Figures must be created as an e-version (on a computer, or tablet, using image-editing software). Hand-made Figures on paper, tracing paper, grade paper will not be accepted. Scanned or photocopies of original illustrations will not be accepted either. Submission of scanned or photocopies of the original illustrations is allowed only if the author pays for the work on digitizing these illustrations by the editorial staff of the journal EOM/EPM. Color Figures and photographs are accepted in exceptional cases. The publication of an article with color Figures in a hard copy is carried out by the editors for an additional fee.
- Figures should be distinct, in black-and-white scale. In color Figures, avoid the use of yellow, light blue, or light green colors because, converted to gray scale, they will look very pale on paper. The same refers to Figures with numerous intersecting or closely spaced curves of the same style - it is better to keep the dark shade, but change the style (thickness, dotted line, dash-dotted line) of the lines.
- The thickness of the lines must be at least 0.7 pt (≥ 10 pixels) with the following allowable dimensions of a Figure. Figures, if possible, should be performed on a white or transparent background and without a grid. Ticks should be placed in the inner area of a Figure.
- Illustrations should preferably be in the vector format with the ability to edit the text in them. Files in the following formats are allowed: OPJ, SVG, EPS, AI, CDR, EMF, TIFF, and PDF.
- If Figures are prepared directly in the MS Word editor, then they should be submitted in a file with the DOC or DOCX extension.
- All formulas and letter designations in Figures must be printed on a computer, with clear markings of all the features of the text (indexes, special characters, arithmetic signs, etc.).
- When writing numerals, the integer part of the number must be separated from the fractional one by a dot, not by a comma - 3.14153, not 3,14153. As a “multiplication sign”, you can use the symbol “*” (asterisk) or the sign “×”. Long numbers are best written in scientific (exponential) notations (for example, 1.23 × 106, 1.23 * 106) instead of the usual decimal (1230000).
- In the axes labels, the measurement value should be separated from the units of measurement by a comma and a space: “T, ℃”. To denote vector quantities, use the arrow sign above the quantity (for example, B ⃗), not bold character style.
- When typesetting a text inside a Figure, use standard TrueType fonts Times New Roman, Symbol. The font size should be selected so that the text inside a Figure is readable.
- All Figures should have concise captions, and the text inside a Figure should also be concise.
- For photographs, it is recommended to use the TIFF or JPG format, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Photos that contain a text should preferably be provided in two versions: 1) without the text, and 2) in the final form with all text inserts and designations.
- Figures should be prepared according to the instructions above. Otherwise either the paper will be rejected or the author(s) will be advised by the editorial staff to re-make the Figures in conformity with the instructions herein. If the editors have no reply from the author(s) within the period specified in the accompanying letter, they reserve the right to take the final decision on the publication of the paper.
III.2. Recommendations for Typesetting Tables

The word “Table” is written on the left, in Times New Roman 11, like the entire text of the article. Then follows its number and the title. The Tables are numbered in Arabic numerals in the order of its mentioning in the text. It is not recommended to highlight the titles of the Tables, using different colors, underlining, etc.

All headings and subheadings within the Table are centered in the cells and capitalized. At the same time, no period is put at the end of headings. The word "Table" should be written with a capital letter and must be written in full, without shortening. Font - Times New Roman 10, as well as all information in columns/cells.

All columns in Tables should have titles and be separated by vertical and horizontal lines.

When creating a Table, it is recommended to use the capabilities of MS Word. Tables typed manually with spaces or tabs cannot be accepted.

Tables should not be separated on two pages.
