Using mathematical modeling, the influence of the magnetic-pulse, electric-discharge, and combined pulsed pressure sources on the wave fields in aluminum melts of varying masses was studied. An increase in the intensity of the wave fields generated by an electric-discharge source was observed with increasing melt mass. Melt mass was found to have a little effect on the wave fields generated by the magnetic-pulse pressure source. The amplitude of the pulsed pressure sources and the mass of the melt were found to significantly influence changes in its internal energy density.
