The work is devoted to the study of the electrical discharge micromachining in the electric breakdown of dielectric liquids. The formation of a breakdown channel using nano- and microsecond pulses is considered. The variants of incomplete and short-time breakdown of the gap are given. The thermal simulations of the electrodes heating until the temperatures of melting and evaporation of the electrodes materials are carried out.
