Various aspects of the ultrasonic field influence on technological characteristics of electrodischarge drilling of small diameter holes are considered. The process stability increase at the ultrasonic field application is found and a decrease of the machining time values spread is shown. A quantitative estimation of the productivity increasing effect is carried out and the influence of various parameters on this effect is discussed. The impact of ultrasonic oscillations on the process accuracy and surface roughness is reported. The sphere of an effective application of the electrodischarge drilling technology under ultrasonics is refined.
