The oscillations of an uncharged spheroidal drop of a conducting liquid in a uniform electrostatic field are considered. It is shown that the oscillations of the centers of inducting charges of different signs connected with the surface oscillation lead to the radiation of electromagnetic waves of the dipole type. A mathematical model of the electromagnetic radiation is constructed and an assessment of its intensity depending on the size of a drop and on the external field strength is carried out.
