Processing of birch leaf litter in a DC corona discharge was carried out so as to increase sorption capacity in relation to ions of iron (II) and (III). It is shown that the corona treatment increases the sorption capacity of birch leaf litter in relation to the ions of Fe2+ – 31%, Fe3+ – 32%. Certain parameters (voltage and time of polarization) of the corona treatment were defined, in which the maximal sorption capacity of the leaves of the birch. The calculated thermodynamic parameters of the process. The obtained values of the activation energy (13.39 kJ/mol for Fe2+ ions and 14.56 kJ/mol for Fe3+ ions) obey the laws of physical adsorption.
