Antifriction Properties of Carbide Layer on VT1–0 Titanium Alloy

In this work the results of investigations of antifriction properties of the VT1-0 titanium alloy, treated by the electric arc in an aqueous electrolyte are presented. The changes of the friction coefficient at scratch testing with a diamond indenter and during tribological tests with a counter body (steel Ac100Cr6) are presented and discussed.
