An analysis is made of an ideal model of two immiscible liquids the lower of which is viscous and the upper one, moving with a constant velocity parallel to the interface is ideal. It is shown that in the linear approximation the role of viscosity of the two liquids reduces to the appearance of the decrement of damping of waves on the interface.

Keywords: immiscible liquids, tangential jump of a velocity field, interface of two liquids, electric charge, Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, viscosity, decrement of damping.
