Abstract
The article deals with the main aspects of the optimization of the structure and management of aca- demic science, refinement of research themes, development of innovation activities, enhancement of interna- tional cooperation. An account is given of the principal results of the research and development activities of the Institute of Applied Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova for the period between the two an- niversaries (2006–2011).
