Abstract

It is shown that the treatment of pre-compressed plates out of steel of grate 20 by current pulses of density appr. 109 A/m2 and duration of roughly 10-4 leads to intensification of plastic deformation in that area and contributes to activation of contact surfaces. It is defined that the greatest effect from the viewpoint of maximum physical contact area is produced during passing of the current along the interface by turns through both plates. Thus, the decrease of the height of microroughness reaches appr. 75%, and total area of the surface spreading zones of the plates makes 65−70% of the total area of a contact surface.
