Аннотация

Mechanism of liquid phase formation in metals during electrodeposition is covered. It is shown that the liquid state of a metal being electrodeposited results from very rapid, explosion-like plating-out due to a chain reaction of electrochemical formation of atoms. Kinetic equations describing the chain reaction are put forward.
