Аннотация

This work is a continuation of work on electrohydrodynamic converters of electrochemical type. The goal of this work was a computer simulation of the formation and development of the EHD flow in symmetric and grid elec- trode system, located in a channel with dielectric walls. Three types of grid EHD converters was investigated: defocu- sing, symmetrical and focusing. Physical cause of the return of vortices was explained in defocused electrode system: the formation of a charge plug behind the passive electrode, retarding the pass-through flow. It is shown that to elimi- nate the charge plug, it is necessary to place a counter electrode along the axis of the flow and pick up the impurity composition of the liquid so that the injection was not only on the surface of the active electrode, but also on the surface of the passive. For the bipolar electrode is formed charged structure compensates for the inhibitory effect of the return. For the first time through enhancement of the effect of pumping is proposed to use the focusing electrode system.
